Community Communication and Initiatives
Local Initiatives and Benefits
An essential aspect of our project will be community benefits and we look forward to working with Town Councils, Local Service Districts, and other local stakeholders and service providers as we define this important element of our project. We would particularly be interested in exploring how we might be able to work with communities on their health and social development priorities.
Training and Employment
From our engagement in early 2022, our project has focused on utilizing resources locally available for jobs and employment.
The Project will create an estimated up to 4,000 direct construction jobs and over 250 direct operations jobs.
We have also engaged with Trade unions to identify and gaps and using resources that are available in the region.
We have engaged with local colleges and training institutes to establish training and re-training local resources.
We have encouraged resident and k10-12 schools in the region to consider employment in our project.
More details will be made available in a short period of time on this web page.
We encourage you to sign up for updates via the “Engage” button on the top of this page.
